About Rider Street View

Rider Street View is an independent editorial project about riding in Indonesia: the routes, the roads and the people who travel them.

Who we are

We are a small team of riders, writers and photographers based in Jakarta. We publish in English and Bahasa Indonesia so that riders can plan a weekend ride, understand a road they have never taken, or simply enjoy a good story about one.

What we publish

• Route guides. Turn-by-turn descriptions of roads worth riding, with notes on surface, traffic, fuel and food stops.
• City and night rides. Short loops and late-evening routes through the city.
• Travel stories. Longer trips across Java, Bali and beyond.
• Practical advice. Gear, maintenance and safe-riding basics for the Indonesian climate.

Editorial standards

We ride the routes we write about and check facts before publishing. When we use an outside source we link to it. Sponsored or affiliate content, if it ever appears, is labelled clearly. Photographs are our own unless credited otherwise. Read our Editorial Policy and meet the team.

Community

Rider Street View grew out of a group of riders who share routes with each other. If you know a road we should cover, send it in: the best suggestions become part of the site.
